Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, construction, and operation of machines and the machinery. Mechanical engineering uses engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and production. LGRM can assess all stages of a production, from research and development to design and manufacturing, through to installation and final commissioning.

Mechanical Engineering

Generally our work on a project begins from the initial brief, through the design and development stage which can include testing of one or more prototypes and final manufacture and implementation of any systems. LGRM has extensive experience in improving the production processes in large factories and many industrial complexes and properties and also designing services within buildings to provide extra safety to employes of provide maximum efficiency for any processes carried out.

Usual tasks for LGRM include

Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and through put.

Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers to provide the best solution for the needs of an individual Making sure a product can be made again reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments

Planning and designing new production processes which will maximise the efficiency of a certain business or production Recommending modifications following prototype test results for any areas which have been found within a business which can be improved on using engineering principles and techniques Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design.

Working with other professionals within and outside the engineering world to find the best possible solutions and/or ways to go forward with projects whilst considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints. Monitoring an industrial plant for its efficiency and its flow of systems providing regular constructive feedback regarding any areas of improvement which have been identified.
